THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Quiz Club National Championships boost confidence, broaden knowledge and encourage great team work but above all are fantastic fun for your pupils and their supporters.

We run three national championships annually (General Knowledge, Science and Maths) with the details of each below. All of our championships follow the same format with online area heats, which last for one hour, for schools to take part remotely from their own classroom.
TAKING PART AT ONE OF OUR VENUES
The area heats, which last for one hour, are run live online so your team/s can take part without leaving your school. Each Area Heat is hosted by our professional Quizmaster and includes between 50 - 100 school teams. Players in the team each use a tablet, mobile, laptop or PC to act as a handset, which our system links in as a team to the quiz, providing instant scoring and making the experience very exciting. There is no software to download.
Each quiz comprises 30 multiple choice questions with a wide range of topics and difficulty levels. The Quizmaster includes plenty of additional information which participants absorb, broadening their knowledge and feeding their natural curiosity. Team members are encouraged throughout to confer with the rest of their team before selecting their individual answers.
The winning team is awarded a plaque for their school and badges for the team. All contestants receive a certificate to mark their achievement in representing their school in the championship.

SELECTING YOUR TEAMS AND PRACTISING BEFORE THE AREA HEAT
After registering for the Championship, schools receive their password to access the automated team selection quizzes we provide to run in their classrooms for all children within the appropriate year group. With the fun of the contest starting in the classroom, schools are able to involve all pupils in the team selection process. Places on the school teams are hotly contested and the children chosen as a result of the team selection process move on to represent their school in the Championship.

Schools also receive 4 practice quizzes narrated by our Quizmaster for your team/s to play. The practice quizzes include tips on strategic voting and the process of elimination and are fantastic for the team/s to play before they take part in the Area Heat.

THE NATIONAL FINALS DAY
The National Finals of the Championships is held during the Summer Term at Oxford University. There is also the option for schools to take part in an online version of the Finals.

THE COST OF ENTRY
The entry fee includes the team selection and practice quizzes which you receive after registering. The cost of entry is £50 and covers one team from your school. Schools may enter as many teams as they wish with each additional team costing £50. The entry fee covers your team/s right through the championship, no matter how far they progress. The entry fee is invoiced to your school after registration.
